Crystal Ridlon LMHC received her master's degree in Professional Counseling, from Liberty University. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, youth shelter, community mental health center, acute mental health hospital, and currently in private practice.
Crystal's greatest achievements in life consist of her 18 year marriage to her high school sweetheart and her four wonderful children. Crystal was honored and blessed to stay home with her children for over 12 years, until God called her into the counseling field. Currently, she works part-time seeing clients, in order to remain fully committed to her family!
Crystal's love for God and her passion for helping people find healing in their lives, is the passion that led her into the counseling field.
Crystal was raised in a dysfunctional home, in which she endured years of pain, trauma, and heartache. At the age of 15, her life changed when she was invited to attend church and accepted Christ as her personal Lord & Savior. The hope she's found in her relationship with Jesus Christ, was the catalyst to her finding true healing over the pain and brokenness from her past. Today, the Lord continues to use her healing and understanding of brokenness, to help lead others into true healing. The key to living a "Victorious Life" is an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ!
The search for a counselor can be overwhelming, intimidating, and even fearful. Crystal understands this discomfort and works to ensure clients feel comfortable and at ease quickly. She accomplishes this task, by being authentic, friendly, and non-judgmental from the beginning of the counseling relationship until the end. Once the relationship is established, healing inevitably begins to take root and lives begin to heal.
Spiritual abuse must be the worst form of abuse, because it is abuse by those who call themselves “God’s people”. This, when we’ve endured spiritual abuse it can make it hard to differentiate the religious abusers and God himself. I’ve trained and studied spiritual abuse for many years, but this isn’t what makes me a spiritual abuse expert. What makes me an expert in this area is the combination of training and experience. I’ve personally been on the receiving end of spiritual abuse. This is when my trainings were put into real life practice and the reason I can personally walk with clients through one the most intense forms of abuse. I am thankful for those God sent to walk with me and I look forward to walking with you.
